Gingerbread Man

  • 145g Unsalted Butter

  • 100g Dark Brown Sugar

  • 125g Honey

  • 1 Egg

  • 250g Flour

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 tsp Baking Powder

  • Pinch Of Salt

  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp Mixed Spice


Step 1

Mix the soft butter with the sugar and honey until the mix becomes homogeneous.

Step 2

Slowly incorporate the egg.

Step 3

Using a wooden spoon to begin, mix in the flour, baking powder, and spices. Finish by using your hands to form a nice ball.

Step 4

Transfer your dough to a sheet of baking paper. Wrap your paper around it and reserve it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Step 5

Preheat your oven to 180°C degrees.

Step 6

Take your wrapped dough out of the fridge and place it between two sheets of baking paper. Roll it down, reaching at least 1/2 cm.

Step 7

Take your gingerbread man cutter to cut out shapes and re-using the baking paper, cover your oven tray and place the gingerbread man on it.

Step 8

Cook your cookies for 15 minutes and let them cool down before decorating.

Step 9

Take your icing pen, play the artist and enjoy !
